Centrespace Studios & Gallery

Centrespace Co-operative is situated in the heart of Bristol and has been offering artists, designers and makers studio space at affordable rates for over 40 years. The industrial building is owned by the co-operative and through ongoing voluntary commitment by members has been developed to offer an excellent working creative environment.

There are currently 30 studios at Centrespace and a wide range of disciplines are practised there including jewellery, musical instrument repair, bicycle design, illustration, painting, sculpture, woodcarving, sustainable architecture and animation.

On the ground floor there is a workshop space called the Chocolate Factory which offers a communal space for community arts initiatives and events in the city. (Change sentence).

Centrespace Gallery was founded in 2000, and is an independent not- for- profit exhibition space adjacent to Centrespace studios. The Gallery is well situated, being close to Bristol City Centre, the Watershed Media Centre, and Arnolfini Gallery. Centrespace actively seeks to show unique and diverse work across all visual media including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, installation, performance, and film. The Gallery seeks to show fresh and interesting work, and actively encourages new and emerging artists. Solo shows and group exhibitions are welcomed.
