Ginkgo Projects is seeking to commission two artists living and working in South West England to develop permanent works of art for a new residential development at Hengrove Phase 1, Bristol.
The commissions will be developed through offsite residencies, with artists working collaboratively with local communities and the project team.
Applications from artists and makers with emerging or limited experience of working in the public realm are encouraged.
TEMPORAL THREADS
A residency exploring the past, present and future narratives of Hengrove and its surrounding communities.
CREATIVE HABITATS
A residency exploring the relationships between people and nature, with work responding to the development’s landscape and biodiversity.
Deadline: 5pm, Monday 19 October 2026
Interviews: Morning of Thursday 29 October 2026
Residencies / commissions: November 2026 – July 2027
Artwork installation: By the end of July 2027
