Online Marketer Needed (quite badly) at PRSC

    People's Republic of Stokes Croft

Here’s the problem: Stokes Croft China sells roughly three times as much through our physical shop as we do online, despite having 13,000+ combined followers across our socials and a lush range of fine bone china that people seem to like. December online sales are strong, but the rest of the year we’re doing essentially zero marketing – no paid ads, no real audience growth strategy, largely selling to people who already know us.

We believe that there’s significant untapped online potential and we need help to realise that.

    What We’re After

This is envisioned as a 6-month contract (reviewed at 3 months), one day per week, to discover whether proper targeted marketing can close that gap. We’ve built a decent following entirely organically and we’re looking for someone to build on that and see what room there is to grow sales online – hopefully a lot!

    What We’re Paying

Base wage: £400/month (it’s up to you how you split up the hours)

Commission: 15% of monthly sales above 25% growth compared to the same month last year

Here’s how that works in practice: we compare each month to the same month last year and set a threshold at 25% growth. You earn commission on everything above that threshold. If you achieve 50% growth in a typical month, you’d earn around £500-600 total for that month’s work. 50% might sound like a lot but it could equate to under £1000 in real terms depending on the month.

We’ve tried to design it so the commission structure rewards meaningful growth while keeping our costs manageable. If you can prove there’s significant growth potential and we’ll be able to scale both the role and the investment.

    What We’re Offering

Obviously not quite as much money as you might get elsewhere, but you will get to help out a Community Interest Company that is working for the good of the local community and larger city. You’ll be given a good amount of creative and scheduling freedom – no corporate processes or lengthy approval chains – while promoting an established and cherished local brand with a vast library of visual content. This is the chance to build something from a low baseline into a much more successful online business.
