Artist wanted for Paint-A-Pic Events

    What is Paint-a-Pic?

At our Paint a Pic events, customers spend 2 hours painting their own canvas masterpiece with step-by-step guidance from yourself as one of our artists.

    How does it work?

We market/sell the tickets (max 25 per session) across our platforms, and provide all the materials you’ll need to run your classes.

The motifs you will be teaching are provided by ourselves, with step-by-step instructions for each. You can choose whichever paintings you’d like to teach for each session from the catalogue provided for you.

We also run private and corporate painting sessions for which we may ask for your availability as and when we get enquiries in your location. It’s completely up to you whether you choose to accept these or not.

    How much is the pay?

Pay varies but starts with a base rate of £100, ranging to about £130 depending on class size.

    Do you pay transport fees?

We don’t cover transport costs to and from the venue, but if you feel you need help with transportation (e.g. for a taxi to transport materials for a particularly large class, or to a difficult location for a private event), please do get in touch – we’d love to hear from you! We want to make things as seamless as possible for you wherever we can.

What personality traits do I need?

Just be yourself, cheerful, engaging, and personable. Most importantly, have fun! We want you to enjoy yourself just as much as our customers!

    Do you buy paintings?

Yes. If you have an original motif, we are happy to discuss a fee for it.

    What time are classes?

Classes are usually in the evening on weekdays and anytime on the weekend.

    Am I an employee?

No, you are as free as a bird. We only ask that you follow the rules in our artist agreement. You will be a freelancer.

How many sessions should I run per week?

We usually prefer artists to run 2 sessions per week minimum – you can do as many as you like if there is demand, but please don’t burn yourself out!

Where do the motifs come from?

The motifs are created by other artists, often sourcing online copyright-free images for inspiration.

    Do I need storage space?

Yes – we will send materials which should amount to the equivalent of 3 large boxes which you will need to store.
