At Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, we’ve been setting the global benchmark for world-class conservatoire training for decades. Behind every successful production, full-time student intake, and vibrant short course is a story – and we’re looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to tell ours.
Working 2.5 days a week, you’ll lead the day-to-day planning and execution of our marketing campaigns. You’ll drive prospective students to our world-renowned full-time degree and short-course programmes, put bums on seats for our public productions, and support our fundraising initiatives – all while acting as a champion for our brand.
Leading a supportive team of two Marketing Officers, you’ll collaborate across departments including Admissions, Development, events, and Short courses – as well as with Productions and Course Leaders, to ensure our communications are as vibrant as our creative community.
Working Pattern: 0.5 FTE (2.5 days / 20 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed-term until July 2027 (with potential to extend)
Salary: £16,000 – £18,000 pro-rata (£32,000 – £36,000 FTE)
Location: Downside Road, Bristol (with hybrid options)

Who We’re Looking For
- A natural storyteller and brand champion with proven experience across the whole marketing and communications mix.
- An experienced manager who can coach, inspire, and delegate effectively.
- A collaborative team player skilled in campaign planning for student recruitment, audience development, and fundraising within a charity, arts and / or education setting.
- A marketing professional who is organised, data-aware, and methodical with a passion for higher education and the creative arts.
