Event start date: 05/09/2026
Location: BS5 Bristol
Saturday–Sunday 5–6 September 2026 | Free entry
The BS5 Art Trail returns to East Bristol on Saturday and Sunday 5–6 September 2026, inviting the public to explore a neighbourhood‑wide programme of open studios, homes, gardens and community spaces, all free to visit.
Taking place across the BS5 area, the trail brings together local artists and makers who open their doors for one weekend, allowing visitors to see work where it is made, rather than in formal gallery settings. Painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, illustration and mixed‑media work will be shown across dozens of venues, many of which are not normally open to the public.
Now an established part of Bristol’s cultural calendar, the BS5 Art Trail is designed to be informal, welcoming and accessible, encouraging visitors to drop in for a few minutes or spend a full day wandering the area. Routes are walkable, family‑friendly and easy to dip in and out of.
“The BS5 Art Trail is about opening up everyday spaces and inviting people to explore East Bristol through the work of the artists and creatives who live here,” said Alex, one of the trail organisers. “It’s relaxed, free, and very much about community – people can chat to artists, see work in progress, and discover parts of the neighbourhood they might not usually visit.”
Visitors can start anywhere on the trail and explore at their own pace. A free map will be available online and at venues, with suggested routes and practical information to help people plan their visit.
