Chapter 7 of Bristol’s Storytale Festival will take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October 2026 at We The Curious. On the theme of perseverance, the two days will be packed with engaging and interactive events for children, teens and families with a diverse and exciting lineup of authors, illustrators and creatives from the local area and beyond.
The Saturday starts with a special storytelling session with Laura Henry-Allain MBE that will be followed by wildlife filmmaker Sam Hume sharing his Dangerous Animals Survival Guide. On the Sunday award-winning Bristol author and illustrator Yasmeen Ismail will delight children with a snappy craft and story activity, while middle grade author Gita Ralleigh will take children on an island adventure.
From magical animal tales from Africa and Europe with Marcus Fagon and sensory storytelling with Cassandra Wye, to plotting the perfect crime with Moniza Hossain and a world-building creative workshop with Asmaa Jama, this year’s Storytale Festival will focus on creativity, imagination and the power of perseverance.
