    I am a Freelance Project & Event Manager specialising in the arts and communities.

    I am the founder and Manager of Bristol Creatives, responsible for managing and editing the website, managing membership subscriptions, producing monthly eBulletins managing our social media channels and providing support to our members and other visual and applied artists in the city.

    I am also a Director at In Bristol Studio and the Finance & Operations Manager at Puppet Place, where I help manage these creative workspaces and support the resident artists.

    From 2012 to 2018 I was the International Project Manager for Luke Jerram’s Play Me I’m Yours touring street piano project. This involved liaising with and assisting arts organisations, venues and festivals to commission and present the project in over 60 cities across the globe. I was responsible for negotiating contracts, providing guidance and advice throughout the planning and delivery process via a document tool kit that I created and by email and regular conference calls. I also edited and managed websites, Facebook pages, Instagram and Twitter feeds.

    In 2017 I was also Event Manager for Play Me, I’m Yours Bristol. This involved producing and delivering the project with 18 decorated pianos installed in outdoor locations across the city. I was responsible for applying for event permits, managing budgets, fundraising including grant funding, sponsorship and crowdfunding, event logistics, artist liaison, health and safety and risk assessments.

    From 2014 to 2012 I was the Event Manager for Illuminate & Bloom festivals in St Georges Park. The Illuminate festival combined several seasonal religious and cultural festivals in October/November, including the Mexican Day of the Dead Festival, Halloween and and Diwali – the Hindu Festival of Light. An exciting evening of art installations, interventions, performance, festive games and a pumpkin lantern carving competition. Whilst the Bloom festival took place in the spring and focused on gardening, healthy food and recycling.

    From 2010 to 2011 I was the Event & Programme Manager for Bristol Celebrates, a multi faith festival, responsible for programming, booking & liaising with performers, speakers, workshop facilitators, PR & marketing, event management, including planning, coordination and evaluation.

    In 2010 I was Project Manager for Shade Home, a series of intercultural art & food events devised by lead Artist Jacky Puzey, I was responsible for PR & marketing, event planning & coordination, budget management, risk assessments, etc.

    In 2009: Project Manager for Play Me I’m Yours for Bristol City Council’s Neighbourhood Arts Team, working with lead artist Luke Jerram to install 15 pianos in public spaces in Bristol in September 2009 as part of the Colston Hall Opening Celebrations. I was responsible for ensuring all the correct licences, Health & Safety Regulations, risk assessments, etc were in place, sourcing, delivery and ongoing repair of the pianos, PR & marketing, community liaison and evaluation.

    From 2008 to 2011 I Project Manager for Phoenix52, a community arts project, responsible for setting up & establishing a resident-led community arts group, web editor & content manager, Facilitation and helping the group to take over an empty shop to use as a community artspace.

    From 2009 to 2011 I was Event Manager for the ‘Get Creative’ festivals, a community arts festival in Netham Park, responsible for programming, booking & liaising with performers, workshop facilitators, venue & catering, PR & marketing and event management, including planning & coordination.

    From 2005 to 2008 I Web Editor & Content Manager for South West Open Studios, an independent organisation that aims to promote the development and sustainability of artists’ open studio and art trail organisations in the South West.

    I also ran my own creative business as a jewellery designer maker from 1995 to 2012.
