Bristol Textile Quarter (BTQ) provides workspace and equipment on an affordable, flexible basis for Bristol’s textile community. BTQ has space for 14 resident members and can also provide temporary access to anyone working on short-term projects. For the past few years BTQ has hosted a textile graduate placement scheme in collaboration with Bath Spa University and more recently, with Spike Island too. BTQ’s MeetMakeMend visible mending events have become a regular fixture on the Bristol textile calendar and succeed in drawing in a wider community who use these evenings to carve out space and time for themselves to collectively mend.
