The Library of Moments

    “Others are certain
    I alone am confused
    ebbing like the ocean
    waxing without cease”
    (Lao-Tzu, c.500 BCE)
We all have a library of moments.  We all carry around, in our heads, a host of experiences that we can draw on for inspiration and guidance.
The problem may be that we’ve got so many moments to draw on that we can easily become overwhelmed and find it hard to learn from our experience.  What we need is a simple way to collect, process, organise and share the moments we experience.
The Library of Moments is so simple you can fit it on the back of a postcard.  I’ve collected hundreds of moments from ‘Walks in Development’ and designed dozens of guides and maps to build a postcard library that we can draw on whenever we need inspiration or guidance.
I’d like to share these postcards in the hope that they will encourage people to
    • Create their own libraries of moments
    • Collaborate and share moments of inspiration and encouragement
    • Contribute to collective libraries of moments (and associated exhibitions, publications etc.)
I’d be happy to visit and share some moments with any individual or group who would like to find out more.
If you can think of any individual or group that might be interested, perhaps you could encourage them to get in touch?
    With thanks,
    David Richmond
