Latest News, Opportunities, Jobs & What's On: January 2022

Welcome to the January 2022 edition of the Bristol Creatives' Ebulletin.  Happy NewYear! One of my (many) New Year resolutions is to find more time to be creative and especially to collaborate creatively with others. These monthly Ebulletins are a great way to keep connected with what's going on in creative Bristol.  Filled with latest News, Jobs and What's On, they provide inspiration and opportunities a plenty!

As ususal we've got lots of great opportunites and exciting jobs, along with both online and real life activities listed in our What's On section.  As well as the latest funding, support and exhibition opportunities in our News pages - hopefully you'll find something inspirational to to get you back into the swing of things.

We are working hard to ensure that information on the Bristol Creatives website is relevant and up-to-date. However, this cannot be guaranteed due to the ever-changing nature of the current situation. Please check with venues and organisers before visiting by calling ahead or checking their website directly as some organisers will may switch their exhibitions and events to online.

Are you running online classes, courses, performances or exhibitions?
If you are running any online/virtual activities - we encourage you to list them in the What's On/Event section of the website so that we can help you promote them.  If they are taking place online please mark them as 'Virtual or Online' clearly in the event title.  Get in touch if you need a hand - sally@bristolcreatives.co.uk.

A big thank you to the following member who recently renewed their annual Gold Membership:

Caroline Casswell is a self-employed artist who has found her niche in two disciplines: Polymer clay and Mosaic. With Polymer Clay she creates highly colourful unique jewellery and bowls. Each piece, whether a small pair of earrings, bracelet or bold necklace are a one off, comfortable and striking to wear and are all finished to a high standard with sterling silver clasps. With the mosaic Caroline has also developed her skill over the past 15 years and by using her hand painted tiles, to give her the ‘palette’, she is able to place the tiles as though painting a brush stroke.. her inspiration is mostly of flowers and plants and from the ever changing hedgerows of Cornwall, however when she has been commissioned she has had the opportunity to be challenged which has led her in new directions. Caroline has been passing on her knowledge in both these area by running regular workshops.
