Welcome to the February 2021 edition of the Bristol Creatives' Ebulletin.  I hope you are keeping safe, well and most importantly creative.  We've got lots of online creative opportunites that you can take part in listed in our What's On section, as well as the latest funding, support and exhibition opportunities in our News pages - hopefully you'll find something inspirational to occupy yourself with over the coming weeks!

We are working hard to ensure that information on the Bristol Creatives website is relevant and up-to-date. However, this cannot be guaranteed due to the ever-changing nature of the current situation. Please check with venues and organisers before visiting by calling ahead or checking their website directly as some organisers will be switching their exhibitions and events to online.

Are you running online classes, courses, performances or exhibitions?
If you are running any online/virtual activities - we encourage you to list them in the What's On/Event section of the website so that we can help you promote them.  If they are taking place online please mark them as 'Virtual or Online' clearly in the event title.  Get in touch if you need a hand - sally@bristolcreatives.co.uk.

A big welcome to our NEW Gold Members:

The Art Cog - we offer day-long introductory workshops and four-week courses that focus on energy-psychology, mindfulness and art-making. Our aim is to reconnect people with their creativity (and all that that encompasses) and learn how how art-making can be used as a tool for self-discovery and a means to manifest what we truly want.

Hillside Creatives - is a small artists village in the quiet area of Easter Compton (BS35), a few minutes from Cribbs Causeway. We have a range of studios available to rent on a monthly basis, allowing creatives the space they need to work. Each studio is totally self contained, with plently of electricity sockets, parking, WiFi, shared toilets, and a communal sink area. We are in a peaceful location surrounded by coutryside walks. The village of Easter Compton has a small shop, a pub, and a post office 3 days per week. The ameneties of Cribbs Causeway are minutes away.

Also a big thank you to the following members who recently renewed their annual Gold Membership:

Liz Vidal Ceramics - I make functional ceramics and unique one off pieces, using stoneware or porcelain. I am inspired by the thought of my pots becoming a part of someone's daily ritual, whether that be as their favourite bowl for breakfast or first choice of mug for their morning coffee.

Petra Regent - I have been a wildlife filmmaker for many years, so the natural world informs my practice since I made a career move and completed an MA in printmaking. I work with earth, wood, trees, and found objects, combining drawing, painting, photography, text, and print, to explore the “spirit of place.” I am fascinated by the impact of time and human history on the fabric and texture of both the urban and the natural world.

Riverside Studios - provides studio spaces for artists in a lovely location overlooking the river at Swineford. There are studio spaces for about seven artists.

Enriched Creative - Richard Parish - I'm a creative graphic designer Based in Bristol and Weston and work direct with clients or as a freelance graphic designer for agencies. I run a small design studio and I work with a network of professionals who are experts in their own field including; illustrators, photographers and suppliers. So you can be sure you’re always in safe hands.

Chris Stocker Design - I am a photo retoucher and compositor. I have been in the buisiness since 1991 and have created literally thousands of magazine covers and illustrations. I am avalible to work for you so drop me a line. I'm in Bristol twice a week or so.
