Bristol City Council: Originators Fund 21/22 Open for Applications & Free Online Advice Sessions!

Bristol City Council’s Originators Fund now open.  Applications are welcome from Bristol-based organisations and individuals for creative and cultural activity; grants can be from £500 to £5,000.  Projects which are awarded the fund will need to take place between June 2021 and May 2022. The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 8 March 2021.

In 2020 we reviewed the fund with the help of a brilliant external focus group of creatives, festival and community representatives and citizens. This has resulted in a new, simpler and more accessible Application Form and Guidance, and new online opportunities for information, networking and advice.

We hope this will encourage a wide range of people to apply; particularly smaller organisations and freelancers who have been particularly hard-hit during the pandemic.

Originators is part of Bristol City Council’s Cultural Investment Programme which is designed to develop Bristol's national and international reputation as a creative cultural city, to actively advance equality and diversity and to improve people's lives through the arts.

Bristol City Council’s Arts and Events team will be holding online sessions for information, networking and advice. You can register by clicking the relevant link:
