Ginkgo Projects: Artist Commission

Ginkgo Projects is looking to commission an artist (or artist collective) based in or close to Bristol for a project within the public open space at Hartcliffe Campus. The client, housing developer Keepmoat Homes would like to encourage access to the space for recreation, play and to connect with the unique ecology of the site.  Hartcliffe Campus is the home of the rare native Small Blue Butterfly and a new permanent reserve has been created by the client at the perimeter of the site.

There is a concept design fee of £4,000 and a further budget of £60,000 for detailed designs and delivery of the project on site.

Please download the artist brief for more information.  Artists are to apply by email only, supplying as pdfs a CV, a portfolio of relevant work and a covering letter setting out your areas of interest in response to the brief and outlining how you might initially approach the commission.

The closing date for applications is 14th February 2020.  A shortlist will be invited to interview with the client Keepmoat Homes shortly after in Bristol.  The artist selection will be made by Keepmoat Homes and is final.
