Bristol and Bath ArtBook: Artist Call Out

The Bristol and Bath ArtBook will show the cities through the eyes of the artists they inspire, working in a mix of media and styles.  The current book series have received support from celebrities such as Sir Paul McCartney, Stephen Fry, Paul O’Grady, ClaudiaWinkleman and Joanna Lumley. (A further list can be found on the website: www.thebristolandbathartbook.co.uk, which will also give you links to the other City Art Books.  So far we have worked with over 250 artists on the books, which show iconic cities in a new andcontemporary way and encourage people to walk around the cities (with anillustrated map in the book) and see how artists have interpreted places indifferent ways.  The book gives artists a completely free platform for their work (which includes an artist biographysection) in a book, which will be available in local shops, on-line and will be available world-wide.  

This is a genuine invitation to submit up to12 images free for consideration for The Bristol and Bath Art Book, which will be published in 2020.  An independent local panel of art and city experts will choose the final approximately 130 images for inclusion.

We are looking for artists of all ages, experience and stages in artistic careers who areexpressing what they love about Bristol and Bath through a broad range of mediaand styles (but no pure photography). We love quirky, contemporary andsomething a bit different.   Inclusion in the books brings many benefits to the chosen artists who are also offered the opportunity, if they wish to purchase books at cost price (£7.50) which can be sold via websites,fairs etc. at full price of £14.99, but there is absolutely no commitment tobuy a single copy, just an offer if you wish at the time.
