Arnolfini Gallery: City Fellows - Artist Fellowship

City Fellows exists to create projects born from Bristol, collectively building a city that better reflects the people who live here.

The programme will support ambitious, collaborative and experimental ideas, from artists working within their communities to address overlooked histories, current conversations and dreams for what we need next.

In 2019 we will support two artists to develop new projects. Across a 9 month process, we will provide an artist fee, a production budget, mentorship and professional development – giving artists the space and time to conceive of a new idea that inspires ways of thinking, working, or dreaming for Bristol.

Deadline for applications: Artist applications are open until midnight on Sunday 26 May, 2019. Download the Artist Brief (PDF)

For further information, or to download a word document of the artist brief, please visit our website. If you have further questions related to the process, please email programme@arnolfini.org.uk  with the subject line ‘City Fellows Application.’

Creative development at Arnolfini

Arnolfini exists to support, develop and amplify both artists and ideas from across Bristol. We are currently doing this through both City Fellows and sister project, Now or Never. Our aim to turn Arnolfini into a centre for civic action and imagination, acting as a catalyst for social change.

City Fellows has been made possible through generous support from Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
