Arnolfini: City fellows - Artists & Communities, Reimagining Bristol's Future

Continuing a long tradition of artist development and community engagement programmes, Arnolfini is excited to launch City Fellows – supporting ambitious and experimental projects co-created by the people of Bristol. Open to proposals until 26 May, we are looking for bold ideas from artists, creative thinkers and instigators working within their communities.

We’re interested in ideas that address overlooked histories, current conversations, and dreams for what we need next. The aim of the work is to collectively understand the world we live in and to find ways to imagine the future together.

Across 2019, we will support the development of two projects that see artists co-creating with communities in order to transform their collective futures.  If you are embedded in your community, have a great idea, or know some who does, apply now - othewise, keep an eye out for workshops, scratch showings and a pilot presentation in early 2020.

Artist applications are open until midnight on Sunday 26 May, 2019. Download the Artist Brief here!

Creative development at Arnolfini

Arnolfini exists to support, develop and amplify both artists and ideas from across Bristol. We are currently doing this through both City Fellows and sister project, Now or Never. Our aim to turn Arnolfini into a centre for civic action and imagination, acting as a catalyst for social change.

City Fellows has been made possible through generous support from Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
