Bristol Festivals: Network Programme Producer

Bristol Festivals are looking for a dynamic Producer to design and deliver a programme of professional development and networking opportunities, masterclasses, workshops, and training aimed at festival and event professionals both based in and delivering activity in Bristol and the surrounding area.

Bristol Festivals Network is at an exciting juncture where it needs to reflect on the catastrophic impact of Covid-19 and respond with the best way to support festival and live event organisations and individuals with their recovery. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be a valuable contributor in supporting the development and future of the organisation, challenging sector expectations and behaviours with view to developing best practice toolkits, lobbying for change, and setting vision and priorities for the next 5 years.

This is a role for a motivated and ambitious individual; you do not need to have worked in a similar position before, although some knowledge of Bristol’s cultural sector and festivals would be advantageous. We would particularly encourage applications from people whose backgrounds and experience are under-represented within the creative industries, including Black, Asian, under-represented ethnic, those from low socio-economic backgrounds and differently abled candidates.

Job Title: Network Programme Producer
Employment Basis: PAYE 2.5 days a week / or 20 hrs a week / flexible. This role could be delivered as a freelance contract depending on candidates needs/preference.
Start Date: September 2021
Period of Employment: 7 months fixed until 31st March 2022, then funding dependent
Salary Scale: £30,000 pro rata (equivalent to £15,000 PA) / £150 a day freelance (monthly fee £1,250 total contract £8,750)

Responsible to/for: The role will report to the Executive Director, and work with our stakeholders and members.
Probationary Period: 6 weeks
Benefits: 16 days holiday, including bank holidays. NEST pension contribution if on PAYE
