Pub Ocean: Head of Creatives - Permanent, full-time position £25k to £30k

Exciting opportunity for a data-driven candidate with a flair for online content to work at the intersection of Pub Ocean’s Audience Development and Editorial teams. This individual will build and manage a team responsible for increasing the clickability of our creatives (editing titles and images) and delivering exceptional results for one of the fastest-growing digital publishers on the internet.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who’s highly analytical yet has a passion and skill for finding the best way to angle a story so that millions of people want to click.

The role is based in our Bristol office and will involve working with the in-house Editorial staff, our Media Buying office in New York and a remote team of freelance Headline & Image Editors.

Attributes and Skills

- Excellent management skills – with the ability to deliver timely and effective feedback to drive standards and produce fantastic results

- Excellent headline writing and editing skills – with a keen eye for detail and the ability to come up with attention-grabbing and clickable titles

- Excellent picture sourcing skills – and knowledge of image editing software – with the ability to find eye-catching and engaging images from various sources around the web

- Excellent analytical skills – with the ability to learn from top-performing campaigns and use these insights to shape future creative direction

- Ability to build and optimise a robust feedback loop, collecting data to deliver presentations on which creatives are most effective in achieving high CTRs (Click-Through Rates)

- Highly organised – with the ability to handle multiple deadlines while maintaining a consistently high level of performance

- First-rate planning and projecting skills – with the ability to make sound decisions and allocate resource effectively

- Excellent communication skills – with the ability to liaise effectively with both in-house and freelance staff members

- Ability to hire, onboard and retain talented staff to meet work volume demand

- Ability to build and manage Google spreadsheets to track progress and ensure targets are hit

- Experience in online publishing and a flair for viral content
