The Crafty Hen: Craft Studio Technician

We are seeking an organised and practical individual, with exceptional textile and craft skills to join us. The fundamental basis of this role is to prepare resources ready for use at all our craft sessions and keep all materials and equipment tidy, clean and in good order. 

You will play a key role within our small office based team, based in our studio offices in Barton Hill, Bristol.

This is predominantly a practical job, but may require a small amount of admin on occasion.

Main duties will include:

  • Unpacking & preparing workshop materials
  • Constructing patchwork quilts & cushions
  • Organising of equipment and upkeep
  • Curating & cutting fabrics to match client colour schemes
  • Keeping resources & stock rooms tidied & organised
  • Making & repairing workshop examples
  • Maintaining stock levels and keeping order forms up to date.

Hours of work:
The basis of this role will be 15 hours a week, however hours are likely to increase during spring & early summer up to (around) 25 hours per week. This may fluctuate depending on how busy we are.
Core hours can be arranged to suit both parties.

Pay is £8.25 per hour on a self employed basis.
We are ideally seeking someone that will grow with us as we get busier, so flexibility to take on more would be a bonus.
