Lougher Contemporary: Gallery Assistant (Contemporary Art),

Lougher Contemporary is a market leading art dealership looking to recruit a Gallery Assistant on a three month contract to support the existing team in what is expected to be a busy period this Autumn. A contract extension may then be offered to the successful candidate.

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Gallery Assistant who is motivated by the opportunity to join a fun and relaxed team, and driven by a strong desire to learn about the contemporary art market. The successful candidate will support the current Gallery Assistant in managing the sales and operations side of the business.


  • Support the current sales process, from invoicing to arranging logistics
  • Help maintain the Company’s stock management system and sales tracker
  • Catalogue new acquisitions and facilitate collections and deliveries to and from the Company
  • Manage the Company’s 3rdparty platforms (Artsy, Artnet etc) and listing new artworks for sale
  • Support the development and management of the Company’s CRM system and client database
  • Support the team on other ad hoc tasks as required.


  • Have a keen interest in art and the art market, and a strong desire to learn about the art market.  
  • Be computer literacy with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and a willingness to learn other programmes and applications as required
  • Self-motivated, extremely organised and have a strong work ethic
  • Be educated to a minimum of BA/ BSc level


  • Articulate and well mannered, with excellent written English
  • Experience in online sales and digital marketing
  • Strong business acumen
