Camille Aubry

Camille is a French freelance illustrator and graphic novel artist based in Bristol and working between the UK and France. She is also a founding member of the French architecture and pluridisciplinary collective Sans plus Attendre since 2010. Before graduating from an MA Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts Camille studied architecture and this has always influenced her artwork. Her practice is deeply rooted in the subject of urbanity and human interaction with the built environment. She uses illustration and graphic novel art, in two or three dimensions, to document her observations of everyday life, where the urban landscape is either the subject or the background of her creations. It is thus not only the visual aspect of architecture and urbanity that inspires her, but also the social and political influence it has on its inhabitants.
