Stokes Croft's Creative Quarter: Street Art

Work will be going on over the two days, and there will be stuff for every one to do... if you want to.. but if you want to just come and hang out in one of the fine cafes in Stokes Croft and have a peek at what is happening, that would be cool too...

The main thrust of the work will be to place pre-prepared works in the window frames of the Carriage works and Westmoreland House. The idea is to give it a facelift and to re-launch the debate about how these buildings should be developed...

This will involve the works being carried through Stokes Croft (Quite a spectacle!) and lifted into place, and will involve some serious lifting... if you feel capable, then you may be called upon for help...

Works will be going up elsewhere in Stokes Croft, and will see the launch of "The Stokes Croft Bulletin", a huge set of notice boards, where the developments that affect the community will be displayed, and where you can have your say... You wil be able to post your own thoughts, rants, poetry, political opinions on these boards... and will be Stokes Croft's "Newspaper".

We would like all the bins in Stokes Croft to be painted yellow this week-end and equipment and materials will be available for those who are up for this...

The Ashley road fence (See pic) is also up for painting, and needs to be rollered out in white.. So if any body is up for this, again equipment and materials will be available...

Also, there will be the launch of many new and exclusive items that will be available for sale, so bring your pocket money.. There are Stokes Croft postcards, sticks of rock... etc, etc... that will be on sale for the first time...

So find some time to drop by and have a look, spend some time in the Croft, and maybe join in...

work will start at 10am both days... All welcome :-)
