Those arty people on the hill have been tapping into their collective creative consciousness to work on more fabulous ideas to entertain young and old over the weekend of FRONT ROOM 2007. This year’s FRONT ROOM, Totterdown Art Trail, starts on Friday 16 November, from 6-9pm and then from 12-6pm on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November 2007.
Welcome one and all to a vintage FRONT ROOM which promises something for everyone… from children’s workshops and live entertainment to poetry, fine art and even our own beer ‘Trail Ale’ to sample!
As always, a key highlight of the annual art trail will be the artists displaying their work and performing in their own houses. Front rooms, kitchens, basements and gardens in the area will be transformed into impromptu galleries, offering a chance for artists and visitors to chat and enjoy art in a comfortable environment.
There is an exciting new addition to the Totterdown Art Trail...a silent'esque' art auction...the first Front Room Auction! It will be held in the fantastic Paintworks Event Space (directly below the Boca Bar) on Bath Road.
The auction comprises two parts; the first part will be held on the Front Room website where, from 1st October, the public will be able to bid online for your work. All artworks will then progress to the second part of the auction, and will be displayed in the Paintworks Event Space where the public can continue to bid live during the course of the Art Trail weekend.
