LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NOVEMBER ART TRAIL
Saturday 24 – Sunday 25 November 2007, 10am – 6pm
(Preview Friday 23 November at selected venues)
North Bristol Artists (NBA) are gearing up for this year’s North Bristol Art Trail that will be held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November from 10:00hrs to 18:00hrs. Leaflets showing participating artists and a map of venues will be available from libraries, art galleries, cafes and, in North Bristol, coming through your door.
Now in its sixth year, the North Bristol Art Trail provides a great opportunity to enjoy and buy work from the dynamic collection of artists. The Trail is the main annual showcase for the NBA, who work in an eclectic range of disciplines including painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics, mosaics, textiles and jewellery.
Theo Wood, NBA Chairperson, enthuses: "We are very excited at the range of work being shown this year. The trail has become very popular with the public. Last year the venues had a steady stream of interested visitors and people were really enjoying meeting in the streets whilst walking between art venues. It is now an established date in the Bristol art lovers’ annual calendar."
The North Bristol Art Trail takes in Bishopston, Cotham, Henleaze, Horfield, Montpellier, Redland, St. Andrews, Westbury Park, and also venues along the Gloucester Road. Due to its continuing success, this year will have more members than ever – over 100 artists – exhibiting at over 42 artist’s homes.
Theo concludes: "Each venue can promise a warm welcome, whether you are a collector, looking for an affordable unique gift, or simply want to enjoy the different works of art on display. The trail encourages visitors of all ages, and the cross-venue quiz always keeps children enthused."
