Would you like to make a difference to the look and feel of your local hospital?
If you are, or have at any time been, a patient of Frenchay or Southmead Hospitals and would like to have a say in how art is used to improve wellbeing and the patient environment, North Bristol NHS Trust is looking for lay representatives to sit on its Arts Committee.
This is an important role which offers exciting opportunities to help shape, develop and deliver an arts programme for Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals.
North Bristol NHS Trust is setting up an ongoing arts programme for Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals. The arts programme is called Fresh Arts (FREnchay and Southmead Hospital Arts) and is being taken forward by the Arts Committee, working with Bristol-based art consultants Willis Newson, who have been appointed to establish and run Fresh Arts for the first year.
The Fresh Arts programme aspires to improve patient wellbeing and the working lives of staff at the hospitals by enhancing patient environments, improving morale, providing opportunities for positive involvement and establishing the hospital at the heart of its local community.
If you would like to join the Arts Committee, take an active part in discussions and represent the views of your nominating body/or area of interest by providing a patient/carer perspective that informs the work of this group, contact Juliet Winter for a job description and more information by telephone on 0117 918 6546 or by email juliet.winter@nbt.nhs.uk
The closing date for applications is 19th November 2007.
Interviews will be held during the week commencing 26th November 2007.
