Bristol Creatives & Devon Arts Culture Networking Event at Spike Island
Date: Wednesday 14 November
Bristol Creatives and Devon Arts Culture are hosting a joint networking event at Spike Island on Wednesday 13 November. Artists, makers, musicians and performers are invited to attend this networking event. The morning starts at 10.30am with registration and a welcome tea or coffee, followed by a guided tour of the studios and the current Spike Autumn Exhibitions Can Altay, Henry VIII's Wives & Andre Sousa. A buffet lunch and networking will complete the event which will end at 2pm.
Come along if you are interested in meeting and networking with other artists from Bristol and Devon. Places are limited and a small fee will be charged for lunch. Bristol East Side Traders Business Awards 2007
The annual BEST Business Awards is now inviting applications from creative businesses in the inner city. This year BEST is introducing the new Creative Business Award, which aims to recognise the achievements of an inspirational individual or business working within Bristol’s thriving Creative Industry.

In Bristol Studios are based in an 1830’s Cotton Mill just off Feeder Road in Barton Hill. They offer fully equipped work space for woodwork, ceramics, print and textiles. It currently has three spaces of 60, 80 & 100 sq ft to rent, also two members are looking to share (would suit smaller, cleaner activities such as illustration or jewellery).

Jerwood Charitable Foundation announces first national prize for moving image
Deadline: 3 December 2007, 8am
The Jerwood Charitable Foundation has announced details of the Jerwood Moving Image Awards - a major new prize for emerging artists working in digital moving art. Awards of £10,000 will be made in March to three artists, and submissions are invited from 25 September.
