1. Create an image for Bristol Creatives and win £250!

2. Easton Arts Trail: 29 June - 1 July 2007

3. Room 212

Room212 is Bristol's youngest and smallest art-gallery. It is a shop on Gloucester Road that local artists use to exhibit and sell their work. Each week, a different artist (or group of artists) install their work in the shop.

4. Windows 204

Windows 204 is a new space for contemporary art in the windows of a vacant shop in the busy Gloucester Road area of Bristol. They are currently looking for artists and artist groups who would be interested in using the windows to show their work or to create new and innovative work for the space.

5. South West Sound: South West Music Convention

South West Sound is the South West's definitive music convention, offering careers advice and business development for those working in all areas and genres of music plus the opportunity to explore and discuss national issues effecting career paths into music, music education, and today's fast-changing music industry.

6. New Peer Mentoring Group

Deadline: 15 March 2007

Expressions of interest are requested for the creation of a peer-mentoring group of 10 to 12 visual artists practising in any discipline in the Bristol/Bath area. For more information visit: Peer Mentoring

7. Arts Council England Arts Debate: Have your say on the future of the arts in the UK

Deadline: 11 May 2007

Arts Council England want to hear your views on five key questions that they believe should be the subject of a national debate:

* What do you value about the arts?
* What principles should guide public funding of the arts today?
* What are the responsibilities of a publicly funded arts organisation?
* When should an artist receive public money?
* Should members of the public be involved in arts funding decisions?

8. Death and Memento Mori

Nick Law and Heaven on Earth a bespoke funeral company in Bristol, are planning an exhibition based around the theme of Death and Memento Mori which if there's enough interest will take place later this year.

They are currently seeking expressions of interest from artists and artisans interested in taking part of this exhibition. The idea is that the exhibition will run for a week and may include some loaned museum exhibits.

9. East Bristol Jazz Club and Sul'art combine for slavery abolition project

Deadline: 1 March 2007

David Mowat of EBJC is reviving King Cotton, with projected performances at Colston Hall in October. Leading up to this he is working with Alphonse Touna, the immensely popular schools workshop leader, balafon and djembe player. If funding comes through in mid March they will employ six artists in a variety of fields to run over one hundred workshops with twelve community groups and schools.

10. Source Photographic Magazine Publication Opportunity

Deadline: 16 March 2007

An opportunity to pitch a new piece of work to the editors of Source at Ffotogallery, Penarth, Cardiff on 29 March 2007. The magazine is interested in seeing new projects and considering them for publication.

Meetings will take place on the 29th, but will be arranged from a selection of material emailed in advance to the editor John Duncan In the first instance, please send 6 screen res jpegs (approx 300k per image) along with a 2 paragraph description of your work. Please note, work MUST be emailed by 16 March 2007.

Source publishes a wide variety of work, but it helps to be familiar with the magazine. It is stocked by galleries, arts centres, bookshops, newsagents and libraries, and is also available via the website, at Source
