In 2006, Centrespace Gallery hosted BAS06 (Bristol Art Show 06) as a cheeky answer to the BAS6 (British Art Show 6) that Bristol then hosted at venues across the city.

BAS06 was an open submission show and Centrespace Gallery hoped that the artworks selected from the submissions would reflect the hard work being done by Bristol’s arts community. And they weren’t disappointed. Artworks in all their diverse, weird and wonderful forms came pouring in, creating an exhibition that sang with promise.

BAS08 The Bristol Art Show is now in its third year. The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase the depth of artistic talent Bristol has to offer. It is open to anyone who lives in the Bristol postal area ie anyone with a BS postcode.
