Hello everyone!
Ros & Andrews fantastic show ‘The Joy of Classification’ is now on!
Duration: 5 February – 1 March 2008
Opening party with Ros & Andrew Sat 9 Feb 6 – 9 pm come and join us for drinks and cakes!
Bringing together collections, ideas, records, sortings and imaginings ‘The Joy of Classification’ is a show of manageable compulsions presented for your inspection by Blackmore & Hansford. Comprising a selection of small edition books, collages and prints the show will turn the gallery into a library of obsession.
Since finishing her MA in Printmaking in London Ros has been working as an art lecturer, tending her garden and travelling the world. She loves taking photographs with strange cameras and collecting space guns, Japanese videos and cake making equipment.
Andrew has spent his time working as a milkman and a teacher. He loves, and has been influenced, by the work of New York artist Candy Jernigan and collects anything and everything to make his 'art stories'.
If you didn't get a chance to see Desanka Ilic's show in January you'll be pleased to know that we've kept some of her amazing work which will be on the shop walls for the whole of February.
Don't forget its valentines day next week and we've got some lovely cards & rather racy gift wrap for the one you adore.
Lastly...
We were broken into in January and we just want to say a big thankyou to everyone who expressed their concern and offers of help, its nice to know we're thought of so highly:)
On that note we are always looking for willing volunteers to keep us going so if you're interested please ask us for a volunteer application.
See you all soon!
