This year there are more than 35 venues and over 100 artists, makers and performers are taking part in this dazzling celebration of Easton’s creativity. There is so much to see and do, we hope you can find time to fit it all in!

The Easton Arts Trail 2008: A Quick Guide
Group Exhibitions
You could start by visiting the group art and craft exhibition at the Easton Community Centre and then move on to smaller group exhibitions at St Mark’s Road Baptist Church, Gratitude 5 Studios, Silai for Skills and Easton Family Centre.
Open Houses & Other Exhibitions
You are also invited to visit 19 open house exhibitions that include sound installations, art and craft exhibitions and lots of cake! There’s a programme of live music and spoken word at the Thali Café, more live music at The Chelsea Inn (see below for more information) and smaller exhibitions at Kebele, Breadolution, Café Maitreya and in the entrance to Mivart Street Studios.
New Temporary Installations, Performances, Interactions & Workshops
And as if that isn’t enough, there are also a number of new temporary, site-specific installations, performances and interactions taking place on the cycle path and streets of Easton during this year’s arts trail.

Arab Egyptian Dance: Easton Community Centre - Sunday 22 June, 1-2pm
Maria Krajnik-Dachraoui and friends will be performing a series of Arab Egyptian dances between 1pm-2pm in the Sunshine Room at the Easton Community Centre. All welcome

2-4pm: Spoken Word hosted by David Johnson
David Johnson is a witty and quirky performance poet, who mixes his stand-up humour with his own verse. His inspiration comes from the bizarre world that we live in combined with a wry commentary on change and progress.
There will be a combination of invited poets reading their work and a Poetry Slam, together with an opportunity for budding local poets to read their own work.
Favourite Poet Slam: David invites you to bring along your favourite poem by any poet to read to the audience or if you are too shy, one of the poets at the event will read it for you. The audience will be asked to vote for the poem they liked best. Please note: there will be a maximum of 10 contenders, first come, first served.
Are you a budding poet? Then come and join us, there will be an opportunity for budding poets to read one of their own poems. Please note: there will be a maximum of five new poets, first come, first served.
Free printed Maps & Guides to the Easton Arts Trail will be delivered to every home in Easton during the last two weeks of May. They will also be available from the Information Point at the Easton Community Centre from 11am on Saturday 21 June 2008. To find out more visit www.eastonartstrail.co.uk.
