Palomar Theatre: Audition Opportunity

Palomar Theatre are looking for a male lead for their upcoming performance of Darlings at the Bath Fringe. Palomar is an ambitious young company that is looking to develop into a professional touring company over the next few years –

Darlings is an hour-long piece of brutally vulnerable new writing for theatre, that uses three characters, tender puppetry, and striking stage images to look at modern relationships, manipulation, and how it’s all tied into our childhoods.

We are looking for a male actor to play the role of Gabe and at points work as a puppeteer:

  • Theatre
  • Unpaid
  • Playing age 23-30 years
  • Puppetry experience ideal but not required.
  • Performance dates 3rd-5th June The Mission Theatre Bath.
  • Intensive rehearsals from Monday 7th May till Friday 1st of June in Bristol city centre.
  • Audition dates Tuesday the 17th May/ Wednesday 18th May

Palomar will also be taking Darlings to the Edinburgh Fringe at C-Venues. This will be unpaid but Palomar will arrange accommodation and travel. This will be a great opportunity for any new actor to start to build a CV, network and get seen! This will be a separate contract to the Bath Fringe and dependent on the chosen candidate’s successful integration into the company.

Please email with your acting CV, headshot and which audition date you can make. If you cannot make either date but are still keen, please still email. If you do not have a CV please email outlining your experience. Talent, commitment and a great attitude are the more important to us.

This is a very quick turnaround so please reply promptly!
