CALL OUT FOR ARTISTS: Summer Residency

Motorcade/FlashParade, the gallery at BV Studios, is delighted to announce that our first summer residency is now open. We invite applications from artists working in all media, at any stage in their career.
The successful artist will be selected to use our 1000 square foot, exhibition space as a studio to create new work, culminating in an exhibition in the final week. We encourage proposals from artists seeking to use the residency as a period of experimentation, with an eye to broadening their practice. The artist would have the opportunity to hold a talk about their work during the exhibition.
Free accommodation will be provided nearby and the artist will have 24 hour access to the exhibition space. Located within a studio complex, the resident artist will have plenty of peer contact with critiques and one-to-one sessions to be organised throughout. A month long membership to Spike Associates, a network of artists, writers, curators, designers and other cultural producers, will also be offered, providing access to their shared base in Spike Island as well as their events and opportunities.
