Super8station3

It's back!
 super8station3 at the Arnolfini on
Sunday 29 & Monday 30 August 2010, 12-6pm. Tickets cost £5 per day ticket (but come and go as you please).

super8station is an ongoing festival originated and run by artist Louise Short, celebrating moving image made using super 8 film. Using both her own collection of films and films sent via an open submission process, the festival invites the audience to select the films they want to see. Louise provides insight and a brief commentary about each film, giving the whole event an informal yet informing feel.
Light refreshments, interludes of live music and opportunities to buy relevant books, super 8 equipment and memorabilia punctuate the event.

Super 8 is a film format released in 1965 by Eastman Kodak. Both amateur and independent professional filmmakers, and artists, have embraced the quality of super 8, and the super8station festival is linked to Arnolfini's ongoing theme of Old Media, exploring moments when artists work with old and new technology.
