Free week-long product design course

Mon, 21/08/2017 - Fri, 25/08/2017

Are you aged 18-30 and interested in designing products for the home?

This summer Knowle West Media Centre's manufacturing space KWMC: The Factory is running a week-long design and making course as part of We Can Make, a project that’s developing new ways of creating locally made, affordable and sustainable homes.

From 21st August to 25th August, The Factory will be kitting out a prototype house, made from straw bales and designed by White Design, that has been built next to Filwood Community Centre.

Learn how to use the digital fabrication techniques and equipment available at The Factory, work alongside local designers and artists, and play a pivotal role in designing and making items for the brand new kitchen. Your work will be showcased in the test home when it opens to the public this September!

The course is free and open to young people aged 18-30 based in Bristol; sign up and be inspired to develop your own enterprising ideas.

Contact KWMC: The Factory to reserve your place: 0117 403 2306 or thefactory@kwmc.org.uk

This course has been funded by the Scape Reinvest Communities Fund.
