Inspired by light and movement Jake's paintings are reflections of the world around him. He teaches a direct approach to impressionist watercolour, a highly structured course with a certain amount of demonstrating and follow up, the aim being to discover how to simplify a complex subject without resorting to omission.
Materials List:
Please bring:
- Watercolour paints in tubes
- A palette with mixing areas as well as paint holding areas
- Good quality round Watercolour brushes, size 12 will be used most, plus one small , plus one large mop brush if you have one ( brushes will be available to buy on the day )
- Water colour paper, Jake recommends Arches 140lb rough, this will be supplied at cost on the day, roughly £1 a sheet
