Thesilentroom launched in Autumn 2010 with our website www.thesilentroom.co.uk. 
We are a collaborative mixed-media business based in Old Market, Bristol. We 
design artwork for t-shirts and prints using a combination of digital, 
photo-montage, stitch, watercolour and pencil and ink techniques.

Our designs are screenprinted and hand-painted with water-based inks onto 
high-quality cotton t-shirts and our art prints are digitally-printed on 
high-quality velvet fine art paper.

Our intentions are to challenge convention and seek new ways of 
re-interpretting design for t-shirts. The process by which designs emerge 
involves found objects and imaginings brought together with a combination of 
traditional art techniques and digital processes. Our increasing body of work 
includes elements of the surreal, abstract and alternative visual universes as 
well as taking inspiration from iconic images and famous/infamous cinema and 
literature.

We also have a graphic novel series called 'Storm Over Cartagena' that is 
free to view on our site. Episodes appear monthly.
