Welsh artist Elaine Cooper has worked with handmade paper since qualifying in Fine Art from Maidstone College of Art in 1984. She was invited to work with visiting Japanese artists during the 1991 Japan Festival, who were so taken with her skill and enthusiasm they invited her to Mina, Japan to work with Master Papermaker Akira Goto.
